Damien practices predominantly in employment, work health and safety, and anti-discrimination law appearing in federal and state courts and tribunals on behalf of government entities, private employers, employees, and regulators. He is listed in Doyle’s Guide in Leading Employment & WHS Barristers in Queensland.

Damien also appears in disciplinary and regulatory proceedings for regulators, prosecuting bodies and respondents, and in commercial litigation, usually relating to contractual disputes.

Before coming to the Bar, Damien was a Senior Associate at a national law firm, Lawyer at the Fair Work Ombudsman, and associate to his Honour Judge Horneman-Wren SC of the District Court of Queensland, as he was then.

Damien holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Major in Physics) from the University of Queensland. He has lectured in employment law and presented at conferences on various topics in his areas of practice.
